1. What this platform is

Overberg Skills Connect ("the platform") is a digital community noticeboard owned and operated by Khulisa Group. It exists to allow people offering skills and people looking for help to find each other in their local community.

2. What Khulisa is not

• Overberg Skills Connect is a community noticeboard only.
• Khulisa is not an employer.
• Khulisa is not a labour broker.
• Khulisa is not a recruitment agency.
• Khulisa does not verify users.
• Khulisa does not verify qualifications.
• Khulisa does not verify experience.
• Khulisa does not verify references.
• Khulisa does not recommend any person.
• Khulisa does not guarantee availability, suitability, safety, payment or work quality.

3. Your responsibilities

Users are solely responsible for conducting their own checks before entering into any agreement. This includes verifying identity, references, qualifications and work permits where applicable, and obtaining a police clearance certificate where appropriate.

Users are responsible for agreeing payment, work conditions and complying with all applicable legal obligations, including labour, tax and immigration law.

If you arrange contact or work through WhatsApp, telephone or any other channel, that arrangement is between the users involved. Keep your own records and do not share sensitive documents unless you are sure it is necessary and lawful.

4. Listings and conduct

You must only post information that is true and accurate, and you must be 18 or older to publish a listing. Khulisa may remove listings that breach these Terms, are misleading, fraudulent, offensive, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate.

You may not use the platform to harass, threaten, discriminate, scrape contact details, send spam, impersonate someone, collect information unlawfully, or attempt to bypass security controls.

5. Privacy and contact details

Telephone numbers are stored privately and are only shared with another user once you have explicitly approved their request. See our . Privacy Policy.

The current WhatsApp integration is manual. The app may open WhatsApp with a prepared message, but the user must review and send that message themselves.

6. Reports and moderation

Users can report listings that appear unsafe, misleading or abusive. Reports are reviewed by admins. Khulisa may hide, edit, suspend or remove content or accounts where needed to protect users, comply with the law, or operate the platform responsibly.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Khulisa Group accepts no liability for any loss, injury, damage, dispute or claim arising from introductions made through this platform. See our . Disclaimer.

8. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights relating to the platform, software, forms, workflows, content, designs, documentation and databases remain the property of Khulisa Group unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
